Dark Night - poem by Caroline Tiss

Dark Night by Caroline Tiss -
The night, how she wakes me from my slumber With that gleam in her eye like midnight skies, She dares me, Tests me, To look into the black, To look into the darkness with no turning back, Uncertain, ever changing Silent but in motion She bleeds from her devotion to love without condition, To hold truth in her precision, To live without the blemish of a lie To live and never die, To the detriment of her eyes Watching the people stumble over their own feet With the foolish fear of trying, Lying dormant instead of living Oh, how it burns her Oh, how it hurts her to see the people shy away from looking at their reflection Raw and in constant motion Primal chaos at its core, Celestial matter in our hearts And who are we to call ourselves a liar, for always wanting more?
